Cell phone plan types in Israel have simplified in recent years, for better or for worse. On the one hand, this makes it simpler to understand exactly what a provider has to offer, but on the other hand, you may end up paying for features that you don’t use because no “better fit” exists.
Below, we provide an overview of the different plans offered by different carriers. This section is split into two parts, so-called “unlimited” (talk) plans, and more traditional metered plans, where you pay for an allotment of minutes/text/data/etc and/or by your usage. Follow the links to the specific pages to view the specifics in more detail.
Unlimited Plans
These plans are for medium-to-heavy cell phone use. The lowest-cost listed plan listed here is YouPhone’s 79 shekel plan, which includes unlimited calls, texts, and 1 GB of data. Those looking for international calling should consider 012 Mobile, Golan Telecom, and HOT Mobile for other low-cost unlimited talk providers. Cellcom, Orange, and Pelephone each offer several tiers of unlimited plans as well.

Metered Plans
These plans are typically for extremely light cell phone users. HOT Mobile and Orange both offer no-monthly fee plans. While HOT Mobile charges 10 agorot per usage unit (minute/text/MB), Orange charges 25 agorot per usage unit. Golan Telecom, HOT Mobile, and YouPhone offer low-cost monthly plans with a modest amount of included features, and low tariffs beyond what’s included. Pelephone is the only one of the three large providers to still offer “traditional” plans, though their prices may rival the unlimited options offered by their competitors.
